This recently renovated and fully furnished apartment (63 m2) is located in the centre of Budapest, just a few steps away from the Grand Boulevard and from the "Nyugati" / West Railway Station, and WestEnd Shopping Mall. The apartment has a strategic location. While it is in the heart of Budapest, it is very quiet, due to the fact that it is located in one of the side streets of the Grand Boulevard.
The apartment has 2 bedrooms of different size. The smaller has a king-size bed, and the bigger is equipped with 2 single beds, a sofa (that can be converted into a queen-size bed), as well as an armchair. The bathroom contains a bath tub and washing machine. There is a separate toilette. The kitchen is small but fully equipped. It contains a gas cooker with an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a coffee machine, a microwave oven, as well as cooking utensils (glasses, chinaware, cutlery sets, dishes, etc.).
Free WIFI is available throughout the property.
The apartment is also close to the Danube and the Margaret Bridge (600m). From the bridge there is an excellent view to the Castle, Gellert Hill, the bridges and the Parliament. Tramline # 2 - which was nominated as one of the 10 most scenic tramlines in the World by National Geographic - also starts from there. There are several restaurants, pubs, cafes, shops, supermarkets, grocery-stores, antique shops cinemas, theatres and museums in the neighborhood. Most of the major attractions (e.g. St. Stephen's Basilica, the Parliament; Andrassy Avenue) are within 15 minutes walking distance from the apartment. For those who like walking, jogging and/or swimming in nature, whilst also being in the middle of the city, Margaret island offers wonderful opportunities and scenery for these activities. It is just 10 minutes walk from the apartment.
The main public transportation facilities of Budapest (Subway line #3, trams #4 and #6) are only a short walk away from the apartment.

Area description
The apartment has a strategic location, as it can be found in a quiet house but also just a few minutes away from the famous Grand Boulevard, and also from the "Nyugati" / West Railway Station and WestEnd Shopping Mall.
The closest stop of tram lines #4 and #6 - a line that runs all along the Grand Boulevard - is just 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Similarly, the stop of Subway line #3 is only 5 minutes away from the apartment.
The Margaret Bridge and tram # 2 are 7 minutes walk from the apartment. From the bridge there is a magnificent view to the Castle, Gellert Hill, the Parliament, bridges and the river, which are all UNESCO World Heritage sites in Budapest. The stop of tram #2 can be found at the Margaret bridge. Tramline #2 runs all along the Danube and offers an excellent view tow these World Heritage Sites. This is why it was nominated as one of the 10 most scenic tramlines in the world by National Geographic.
Along the Grand Boulevard and the neighbouring streets, you can find many many restaurants, pubs, cafes and night clubs. The closest restaurant is only 15 meters away from the apartment - the opposite side of the street. There are several small shops, groceries, but also supermarkets, markets, cinemas and theatres. Most of the major attractions, like the Parliament, Chain Bridge, and St. Stephen's Basilica, amongst others are within walking distance from the apartment.
Margaret Island is also just 10 minutes walk from the apartment. The island itself is a large park with lots of trees, plants and flowers, as well as with some historic buildings and with a little zoo. At the entrance of the island, you can find a nice fountain with music and light show. You can also jog on the jogging track or have a nice walk or go swimming in Sport Swimming Pool (20 minutes walk from the apartment). There are 8 in- and outdoor pools there and it is a famous place for the Hungarian swimming and water-polo sports, as in 2006 and 2010 the Swimming European Championship was organized there and in 2014 the Water-polo European Championship will be hold in this swimming pool.
In the neighbourhood of the apartment there are also two market halls. The first one is in Hold street, in a recently renovated old building that was build in 1897. The other one is a modern market hall in Lehel square. Both are just 10 minutes walk from the apartment. You can buy quality cheap fresh food (vegetables, meat, milk products) in both places.
